Middle Township Man Charged With Attempted Murder: Prosecutor
A Middle Township man was arrested for shooting a man in his abdomen, the Cape May County Prosecutor's office said Thursday.
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Middle Township man was arrested for shooting a man in his abdomen, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s office said Thursday.
Emanuel Rodriquez, 40, of Middle Township, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of methamphetamine.
The Middle Township Police Department received a report Wednesday that a man at Cape Regional Medical Center had a gunshot wound in his abdomen.

The victim was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was released from the hospital, the CPCPO said.
An investigation determined that the shooting took place at Rodriquez’s home at the Catalina Motel in Middle Township. Following the investigation, police executed a search warrant at Rodriguez's home.

Rodriquez was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.
The Middle Township Police Street Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit assisted with the investigation.
