Middle Township Students Perform Together at Spring Concert
Musicians from both Middle Township Middle and High Schools participated in the event in May
Students from Middle Township Middle and High School banded together for the district’s spring concert held on May 25 at the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
More than 50 students participated in the event that included the middle school band and choir, the high school band and percussion ensemble. Each group performed a few songs, entertaining the attendance that consisted mostly of family and friends.
“Everyone worked so hard for this concert and we’re in awe of all the talent on that stage,” said Middle School Principal Jeff Ortman. “Music has the ability to help, heal, soothe, and energize. Whether you play, perform, or prefer to listen, there’s something for everyone.”

During the concert, the audience heard renditions of “Shenandoah,” “Darklands March,” “Air for Band,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The choir performed a medley from Hairspray the Musical, and some other popular selections.
“The groups have worked extremely hard, and I am so proud of the progress we were able to make in just a few weeks of rehearsing” said Middle and High School Band Director Adam Nuzzi. “Some of the groups were only able to meet once or twice a week and the students really worked hard to put it all together.”
