Ocean City 4th Of July Fireworks, Parades And More: 2018 Guide
Ocean City's Independence Day celebration includes a fireworks show, two bike parades, a kite-flying contest and more.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A dazzling fireworks display will cape a day’s worth of events marking Independence Day in Ocean City on Wednesday, July 4.
The spectacular boardwalk fireworks commences at about 9 p.m. It will follow a kite-flying competition, which begins at 7 p.m. There will also be other entertainment as part of the celebration.
There is so much more happening in Ocean City to mark America’s Independence, including two bike parades.

One bike parade is sponsored by the Gardens Civic Association. Registration is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Longport Bridge parking lot, followed by the parade at 10 a.m. The other is sponsored by the South Ocean City Improvement Association. Registration is scheduled for 9 a.m. at 40th Street and Asbury Avenue. The parade begins at 10 a.m.

It is said nothing is more American than apple pie, and Ocean City gives you a chance to eat as much apple — and cherry — pie as you want with its Wacky Pie Eating Contest. No hands are allowed in this free contest that is open to all ages and limited to 150 participants. Eating commences at 10:30 a.m. at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace & Boardwalk.
The Ocean City Theatre Company’s Spotlight Performers Show Choir will present “A Star Spangled Salute” in front of the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk at 6 p.m.
