Ocean City Acme Markets Reopens Days After Fire
The West Avenue supermarket completed temporary repairs and passed inspections.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — This past wild week in Ocean City included a supermarket parking garage fire and arson charges, but some normalcy has been restored. Acme Markets on 800 West Ave. reopened Thursday.
Workers finished temporary repairs, which the city inspected. Acme also submitted a structural engineering report indicating the building is safe to reoccupy, according to Mayor Jay Gillian.
"I’m glad to see this important community resource back in business, and glad to know that residents who depend on it will have their needs met," Gillian said in a statement.
