Ocean City Basketball Teams To Compete At Seagull Classic

OCEAN CITY, NJ - Both the Ocean City High School boys and girls basketball teams will compete at an event that has featured NBA talent in the past.

The Red Raiders will participate in the Seagull Classic at Holy Spirit High School this weekend. The girls will play Lenape at noon on Sunday, Jan. 6. The boys’ game against Howell follows at 1:45 p.m.

The entire event, presented by the South Jersey Basketball Summit Organization, takes place from Friday through Sunday.

The original Seagull Classic ran from 1972-90, and has featured such names as Albert King, Jamal Mashburn and current Oklahoma City Thunder coach Billy Donovan, according to The Press of Atlantic City. For the full schedule, click here.
