Here's the latest update as the Bay Avenue Project continues.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Here's the latest update on the Bay Avenue Project.
Work for Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
By the end of the day this Friday, the contractor’s south crew will have installed new PVC pipe, backfilled and temporarily paved to a point midway between 24th and 23rd streets. The north crew will have progressed southward and completed the same work to a point about 100 feet north of 17th Street.

Through Jan. 3, the work will continue in the same directions for both crews. There will be no work on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

Beginning Monday and on subsequent work days, Bay Avenue will be closed from 24th to 14th streets. Traffic detours will be established to divert motorists to West Avenue with a police traffic director stationed at 14th Street to assist in traffic control.
