Here's the latest on the road closures and detours.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Here's the latest on Ocean City's Bay Avenue Project.

Work for the week of Nov. 11 to 15

As of the end of the day (Friday 11/8/19), the contractor will have installed PVC piping, backfilled, and temporary paved up to a point about 100 feet north of 28th Street.

No work will take place on Monday (11/11/19).

On or about Tuesday, Nov. 12, the contractor will be shutting down Bay Avenue from 34th Street up to 14th Street, while a second work crew will begin mobilizing at the site. It is expected that the second crew will begin physical work on or about Nov. 18. As such, work will be done by one crew at about 28th Street going north, and the second crew at 14th Street going south.

Traffic

Over the weekend (11/9 - 11/10) and into Monday 11/11/19, Bay Avenue will be open to two lanes of traffic with lane shifts around the terminus of work. Starting Tuesday, Bay Avenue will be closed between 34th and 14th streets. Traffic detours will be established to divert motorists to West Avenue.
