Ocean City Bike Parades To Kick Off July 4th Weekend

Ocean City's Fourth of July festivities will kick off with a south end bike parade on July 3, along with another bike parade on July 4.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City’s Fourth of July festivities will kick off with a south end bike parade on July 3, along with another bike parade near the Ocean City-Longport toll bridge on July 4.

The South Ocean City Improvement Association parade was not initially scheduled for this year, but a group of local citizens, the Chamber of Commerce and the city teamed up to bring it back.

The parade will start on Saturday, July 3 at 10 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m. in the Our Lady of Good Counsel parking lot at 40th Street and Asbury Avenue.

This parade ends at the playground at 52nd Street and Haven Avenue.

Registration for the Gardens Civic Association Bike Parade starts Sunday, July 4 at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at the foot of the Ocean City-Longport toll bridge.

The route makes its way to East Atlantic Boulevard with a finish near Beach Road. The parade begins at 10 a.m.

Both parades encourage riders to dress themselves and their bicycles in the spirit of the holiday. The events are free and no advance registration is required.
