To earn the distinction, Nicholl Fenton needed a GPA of at least 3.9 through the end of the first semester of the 2018-19 school year.

PHILADELPHIA — A former Ocean City field hockey player earned a prestigious academic honor at Saint Joseph's. Nicholl Fenton was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's Scholars of Distinction list this week.
To earn the honor, athletes must achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.9 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the 2018-19 fall semester. Fentz earned the honor with teammates Kathrin Bentz and Jordan Olenginski. The trio also made the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Fenton, a sophomore, has made 43 appearances in two years with the Hawks. She previously helped Ocean City win a pair of state titles and four South Jersey championships. The team went 85-14 during her time with the Red Raiders.
