Ocean City High Schoolers Win Student Emmy Awards
Ocean City High School's magazine television program 'Current OC' was honored with several 2019 High School Student Awards.

PHILADELPHIA — Several Ocean City High School students are now Emmy Award winners. Students earned accolades at the Mid-Atlantic High School Student Production Awards, according to the school district.
OC-TV features programming created by OCHS students. "Current OC," the students' magazine show, won two awards. They were honored at Temple University.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) awarded two students for their production called "WAWA Addiction." Reporter Jacob Schneider and videographer Zachary Card earned the award for "light news."

OCHS students also earned the "magazine program" award for the Feb. 7 edition of "Current OC." The following were honored:
- Taylor Fusco, talent/anchor
- AliJane Robel, producer
- Paul Giordano, director
- Elizabeth Murray, technical director
- Nathan Goudie, stage manager
- Tanner Mitzel, character generation
- Ben Wiley, audio engineer
- Greg Wheeldon, advisor
The "WAWA Addiction" report offers lighthearted suggestions to curb your spending at the convenience store, such as making coffee and hoagies at home.
