Ocean City Introduces 'Winterfest' Craft Market Event
'Winterfest By the Sea' will feature handcrafted items, specialty gifts and visits from Santa Claus.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a two-day craft market called "Winterfest by the Sea." The event will feature gifts for sale, kid's activities and visits from Santa Claus.
The craft market will take place from 12-5 p.m. Nov. 13 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 at the practice field on 6th Street and Boardwalk.
"Winterfest" gives Ocean City businesses an opportunity to showcase their products for the holiday shopping season. Revenue typically generated from tourism took a major hit last summer because of the coronavirus pandemic. Cape May County officials calculated tourism losses at 42.06 percent, based off occupancy-tax revenue collected from January through July.
