Ocean City has the nation's highest amount of dessert shops per capita. Which one is your favorite?

OCEAN CITY, NJ — America's Happiest Seaside Town is also the nation's most dessert-filled city. Coincidence?
Ocean City has the highest amount of dessert shops per capita, according to Food & Wine Magazine. As a result, the publication named Ocean City the greatest U.S. city for dessert.
The city features too many dessert destinations to name. Philly.com included 17 Ocean City establishments in its list of 80 best spots for casual dining on the Jersey Shore last May. Read more: 17 Ocean City Restaurants Make Best Of The Shore List

Several of those restaurants feature delicious desserts, including:
- Crazy Susan's Cookies
- Fractured Prune
- Mallon's Homemade Sticky Buns
- Ward's Pastry

There are plenty more that could have been included. But that's why Ocean City topped Food & Wine Magazine's dessert rankings.

Data company Infogroup researched cities with the greatest dessert concentration, examining its database of more than 15 million verified business records.
Here's the top 10, which includes metro areas:
- Ocean City
- Barnstable Town, Massachusetts
- Norwich-New London, Connecticut
- Longview, Texas
- Salisbury, Maryland
- Portland, Maine
- Providence/Warwick, Rhode Island
- Tyler, Texas
- Bridgeport/Stamford/Norwalk, Connecticut
- Texarkana, Texas
