Ocean City Nor'Easters Season Opening Exhibition Cancelled

Their opponent, the Philadelphia Fury, do not have enough players to field a team this weekend.

OCEAN CITY, N.J. — The Ocean City Nor'easters' new season experienced a slight delay. Their anticipated exhibition opener Saturday against the Philadelphia Fury was cancelled because the Fury don't have enough players to field a team this weekend, Ocean City FC announced.

With Saturday's match cancelled, the Nor'easters expect to begin their exhibition slate at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 against FC Monmouth at Carey Stadium in Ocean City.

The Nor'easters recently named Kevin Nuss their new head coach. Former coach Tim Oswald stepped down because of a health concern.

Ocean City FC's regular season begins Saturday, May 18 on the road against FA Euro New York. The team's regular-season home opener takes place June 1.
