OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City police are seeking information from the public after two geckos were found in terrariums left on the sidewalk with “free” signs attached to them.
The terrariums were found Sunday on the 900th block of Wesley Avenue at 4 p.m., when the National Weather Service reported the temperature was just above freezing at 34 degrees.
The Humane Society of Ocean City said the reptiles could have died if they stayed outside much longer.
