Ocean City’s Trash, Recycling Pickup Changes June 14

Ocean City's twice-weekly summer trash and recycling collection schedule starts on Monday, June 14 and continues through Sept. 11.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City’s twice-weekly summer trash and recycling collection schedule starts on Monday, June 14 and continues through Sept. 11.

Here’s the updated schedule:

  • Longport Bridge to north end of 9th Street: Monday and Thursday (yard waste Thursday)
  • South side of 9th Street to north side of 28th Street: Tuesday and Friday (yard waste Tuesday)
  • South side of 28th Street to 59th Street: Wednesday and Saturday (yard waste Wednesday)

The schedule continues on Independence Day and Labor Day. The three holidays that interrupt the regular schedule in Ocean City are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Waste containers must be 32 gallons or less. Recycling and yard waste must be placed in labeled containers and cannot be put in plastic bags.

Labels are available for free at City Hall or the Knight Building.
