Ocean City Sees Plenty Of Flooding During Storm

Several streets flooded through Friday morning, and Ocean City could see more Friday night.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — On the eight year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy hitting the Jersey Shore, another storm brought flooding to Ocean City. Luckily, it wasn't anything like the 2012 storm, but Ocean City could still see coastal flooding through Friday night.

Wind and heavy rain hit Ocean City on Thursday, and the National Weather Service expects precipitation to continue primarily before 1 p.m. Friday.

Several people posted pictures of flooded streets on the Ocean City, NJ Flooding Facebook group, run by the Ocean City, NJ Flooding Committee, a civilian group and chapter of Higher Ground. The committee also encourages residents and homeowners to upload pictures to iseechange.org, which connects the public and experts on changing environments.
