Ocean City Sets Date For Annual Bicycle Auction

People will have a chance to bid on 115 used bicycles that the Ocean City police found to be abandoned or unclaimed on Wednesday, July 14.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City will hold its annual bicycle auction at the Shelter Road Recycling Center on Wednesday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.

People will have a chance to bid on used bicycles that the Ocean City police found to be abandoned or unclaimed.

About 115 bicycles and other surplus items will be for sale. The bids can typically range from $1 to $350.

The event provides an opportunity for people to purchase bikes at low cost.

Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m., and a driver’s license, passport or valid ID is required to register.

All items are sold “as is/where is” with no warranties implied or offered. Accepted forms of payment are bank checks with ID, local checks and cash. No credit cards will be accepted.

The rain date for the auction is set for Thursday, July 15.
