Ocean City To Start Pre-K to Kindergarten Transition Program
Ocean City is launching a new initiative to help get young students and parents ready for kindergarten and "Raider Ready".

OCEAN CITY, NJ - For parents with kids about to enter into kindergarten from pre-k, Ocean City is working to make the transition smooth as possible. Ocean City Schools is starting the "Raider Ready" program this school year, according to the Ocean City School District.
The first session is on Tuesday, November 13 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and will introduce teachers and administrators, offer visits to the library and LEGO room and give parents an idea of what the child should prepare for before school starts, according to the Ocean City School District.
“We developed Raider Ready aware of four components of a quality transition program: an early start, strong relationships, increased comfort levels and a tailored transition plan that addresses the specific needs of incoming Kindergarteners and their parents,” said Ocean City Primary School Principal Cathy Smith.
