OCEAN CITY, NJ — The National Weather Service placed Ocean City under a coastal flood advisory for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. And Ocean City could get some flooding Thursday night.

The NWS predicts "minor" tidal flooding in Ocean City Friday morning and evening. High tide is projected at 6.1 feet on the mean low water scale at 8:10 a.m. Friday and 5.6 feet at 8:27 p.m. Friday. Moderate flooding indicates at least 6.3 feet on the MLW.

High tide is projected at 5 feet at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, which falls below the measurement for tidal flooding. But wind, heavy rain and higher-than-normal full moon tides may contribute to flooding at high tide Thursday night, Friday morning and Friday night, according to officials.
