Ocean City Under Coastal Flood Advisory Monday

The advisory runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is under a Coastal Flood Advisory from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory expects water levels to peak at 12:10 p.m.

Forecasters project a level of 5.9 feet on the mean low water scale (MLW), which falls under the category of "minor" flooding.

The NWS predicts precipitation will extend into Monday night in Ocean City. Forecasters project rain and less than an inch of snow, with gusts up to 28 mph.

Residents should monitor conditions and be prepared to move vehicles from areas that typically experience tidal flooding. The roads closer to the beach including Central and Wesley avenues are typically at higher elevation. Never attempt to drive through flood waters, and do not drive around barricades.
