OCEAN CITY, NJ — The National Weather Service placed Ocean City under a coastal flood advisory from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday. Ocean City could see “moderate” tidal flooding.

High tide is projected at 6.7 feet on the mean low water scale at 9:55 a.m. Thursday on the bay side. Moderate flooding indicates at least 6.3 feet on the MLW.

The projected high tide for Thursday would be the city’s highest tide in more than two years, according to officials. Heavy rain, strong winds and a higher-than-normal moon tide could contribute to flooding conditions.
