Ocean City Under Flood Advisory Saturday Morning
The forecast calls for 'minor' flooding during high tide, but predicted heavy rain could exacerbate it.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is under a coastal flood advisory from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday. The National Weather Service predicts "minor" coastal flooding, but predicted heavy rain could exacerbate it.
The forecast calls for high tide at 8:23 a.m. Saturday, when a level of 5.8 feet is expected on the mean low water scale. Anything between 5.3 and 6.3 feet constitutes minor flooding in Ocean City.
But predicted heavy rain could increase the effects of flooding, particularly if it coincides with the morning high tide. Strong southeast winds could gust up to 34 mph.

Residents should monitor conditions and be prepared to move vehicles from areas that typically experience tidal flooding. The roads closer to the beach including Central and Wesley avenues are typically at higher elevation.
