Ocean City Under Flood Watch Thursday And Friday
Some spots could get up to 3 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Ocean City that runs from 1 p.m. Thursday to 4 p.m. Friday. Parts of town could get up to 3 inches of flooding.
The forecast projects heavy rain Thursday and showers Friday. If the heaviest rain coincides with high tide, Ocean City could flood.

- 6:07 p.m. Thursday: 4.4 feet
- 6:26 a.m. Friday: 5.3 feet
The threshold for "minor" coastal flooding is 5.3 feet.
Closely monitor the forecast and weather conditions. Heavy rain flooding can impact parts of the island that don’t typically experience tidal flooding.

Be prepared to move vehicles. The roads closer to the beach including Central and Wesley avenues are at higher elevation. These roads also offer the safest routes of travel across the length of the island.
Never attempt to drive through flood waters, and don't drive around barricades.
