Ocean City's Fractured Prune Expands To Sea Isle City
Andrew Jenkins worked for his family's business since they opened in Ocean City. Now he'll bring Fractured Prune to another town.

SEA ISLE CITY, NJ — Andrew Jenkins began working for his parents' business when they opened Ocean City's Fractured Prune nearly 10 years ago. He quit his accounting job to work full-time for the Fractured Prune locations in Ocean City and Wildwood.
Now Jenkins will own a shop, expanding the popular donut establishment to Sea Isle City. The new eatery will open this spring at 5004 Landis Ave.
Jenkins hopes the shop will open during Easter weekend. If it opens by then, they plan to operate during weekends in April and May, full-time June through August and weekends again in September and October.

Since Fractured Prune reached Ocean City in 2010, they've often been rated among the best donuts on the Jersey Shore and in the state. There are two Ocean City locations and one in North Wildwood.
"As I got older, my friends started going to Sea Isle," Jenkins told Patch. "So that’s kind of where I’ve always wanted to be most of the time. So it was a perfect fit for me to help expand the donut shop."

Fractured Prune of Sea Isle is currently planning grand-opening giveaways and celebrations. Jenkins is still hashing out details. But he said to follow the Sea Isle City shop's Facebook page, where they'll announce plans within the next couple months.
Sea Isle City will put Fractured Prune in a third New Jersey town. Fractured Prune originated in Ocean City, Maryland, in the 1970s. They have since expanded to several East Coast states and as far as Glendale, Arizona.
Jenkins's family operates all the New Jersey locations, and they may expand in the future.
"We’re always looking for new opportunities across the Jersey Shore," Jenkins said. "There’s nothing in active works right now, but we’re always looking to expand."
