The King and Queen of Plop Competition on the 9th Street beach at 11 a.m.

  • Sept. 11

The National September 11th Commemoration at 7 p.m. in front of 6th St. fire house at Asbury Avenue.

  • Sept. 12

Street Rod Weekend features classic cars on display along the Boardwalk from 12 to 4 p.m.

  • Sept. 12

Ocean City Airport Festival at the Municipal Airport, 26th & Bay Ave. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Features include a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from World War II Planes to Classics and Warbirds.

  • Sept. 13

Boardwalk Aerobatic Airshow begins at 1 p.m., between 6th and 14th streets. Thrill to some of the best stunt pilots and aerobatic champions in the world plus military demonstrations.

  • Sept. 20

Corvette Show includes some 350 cars from every model year Corvettes displayed on the boardwalk from 6th to 10th streets, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Sept. 26

Walk for the Wounded is a three mile walk on the boardwalk to raise money for wounded soldiers returning from overseas. A ceremony will be held just prior to walk kickoff to honor military heroes. Registration begins 8 a.m. in front of the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and boardwalk.

  • Sept. 27

OCNJ Half Marathon, 5k & 10 Mile a non-competitive walk/run. Advance registration required for half marathon.
