MARGATE, NJ — Lucy the Elephant has been a tavern, hosted a United States president and even announced her fake candidacy for president in 2016. Now the 138-year-old monument is available for stays on Airbnb.

Three guests and their friends will have the opportunity to stay inside Lucy the Elephant. The experience will transport guests back in time to Victorian-style decorations, resembling how the home could have looked in 1902. That was when visitors could tour the furnished interior of "the Elephant House" for only 10 cents.

Longtime Lucy lovers can reserve their stays beginning at noon March 5. The one-night stays will take place March 17, 18 and 19 for $138 each, representing Lucy's age. This isn't a contest, but fans will need to keep track of the scheduling if they hope to reserve Lucy.

Lucy, who stands six stories tall, is America's oldest surviving roadside attraction, according to NPR. Originally named "Elephant Bazaar," Lucy was built to promote real-estate sales and attract tourists.

Through the years, she has been struck by lightning, withstood Superstorm Sandy and continued to stand as a colossal tourist attraction. The elephant in the room has become the room itself.
