Stingray, Shark Reeled In During Epic Wildwood Fishing Week

Some fisherman in Wildwood are having quite the summer.

First, they reeled in a stingray earlier this week.

Then, on Thursday, they caught a small shark.

“From the same guys that caught the sting ray a few days ago caught a nice small shark today in the morning,” The Wildwood Boardwalk Facebook page.

The shark, common in the area at about 20 feet deep, was caught in the inlet in North Wildwood. That’s where swimming is not allowed and “fishing is at its best,” according to The Wildwood Boardwalk Facebook page, which has 24,000 followers.

The nearest swimming beach is about a mile away.
