As Santa Claus travel through New Jersey, he might want to take some detours. The Garden State is filled with extravagant holiday displays, with many businesses and parks putting together elaborate Christmas-light decorations.

Here are some of the best light displays from New Jersey businesses and parks:

Skyland Stadium Christmas Light Show

94 Championship Dr., Augusta

Take a mile-long drive through more than 2 million dazzling lights before you get to the outdoor village. The village and carnival includes a petting zoo, games and nativity scene.

Vernon Lights Festival

1733 Glenwood Rd., County Rd. 565, Vernon

The massive walk-through wonderland features a dinosaur kingdom, giant pandas and the million-light maze. They also claim to have New Jersey's largest lantern Christmas tree.

The drive-through path features favorite holiday scenes and characters of the season, using LED technology and digital animations.

The Winter Wonderlights Spectacular

655 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick

The popular but at-times controversial display moved to the Middlesex County Fairgrounds this year. This event features more than one million lights dancing to music.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags

The park is filled with more than 1 million lights. The holiday extravaganza includes seasonal entertainment and Santa's Village. Guests can also warm up with flavored coffees, hot chocolate, ciders and seasonal soups.

Perfect for kids ages 1-92, according to DiDonato's. Ride the train through millions of Christmas lights. Admission gets you a meeting with and present from Santa, a cookie treat, a walk through the Holiday Village, a free round of glow-in-the-dark mini golf and more.

Holiday Light Show on the Lake

Historic Smithville, NJ - The Village Greene; 615 E Moss Rd., Smithville

Christmas trees made from more than 50,000 lights float on Lake Meone. Once darkness falls, the orchestrated show of lights and music plays across the lake. The lights dance and chase each other to the music, while reflecting on the water.

The aquarium is filled with festive lights and decorations. Experience different-themed sections, enjoy arts and crafts and get a photo with Santa.

Storybook Land's Christmas Fantasy with Lights

614 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township

Storybook Land's holiday celebration features more than a million lights. All rides, attractions and snack bars are open during this time. Although Santa and Mrs. Claus return to the North Pole after Dec. 23, the park will remain festive from Dec. 26-30.
