Tornado Watch In South Jersey
A tornado watch was issued for eight NJ counties, and severe weather is expected across the state. Here's where.

SOUTH JERSEY — The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch in South Jersey.
Affected counties include Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem. The tornado watch will last until 10 p.m. Thursday.

- Thursday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms..
- Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.:
Two separate tornados hit South Jersey on Aug. 4 as Tropical Storm Isaias tore through the Garden State.
