Toy Shop In Stone Harbor Hotel Offers Zoom Calls With Santa
The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor added a pop-up toy shop to the hotel's storefront for the holiday season.

STONE HARBOR, NJ — The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor added a pop-up toy shop to the hotel's storefront for the holiday season where young shoppers can talk to Santa Claus through video calls.
The retail pop-up features toys from the New Jersey-based independent toy shop, Just Kidding Around. The curated selection contains over 100 toys, including arts and crafts, musical play pieces and educational sets for all ages.
Shoppers can participate in Zoom calls with Santa on weekends throughout December. Guests are encouraged to call the hotel in advance to reserve an individual shopping experience.

“We wanted to give our guests and local community the opportunity to avoid seasonal shopping crowds while supporting an independently owned and operated shop,” said Ron Gorodesky, President of Refined Hospitality, the management company for The Reeds.
“Kids have grown used to logging on to Zoom for their at-home learning or to chat with family members and they understand Santa needs to keep his 'social distance.' The joy and excitement are certainly still alive and it’s wonderful to know that they were able to share their Christmas wish list this year despite all of the changes to the holiday season," Gorodesky said.

A Cape May Toys For Tots donation is also included within the shop allowing people to bring toys to drop off or purchase toys to donate to children in the community.
“2020 has been an unprecedented year and more than ever, the local community needs our concerted support,” Gorodesky said. “By collecting and encouraging donations, we hope to brighten the holidays for our younger neighbors and hope to secure additional donations within the next couple of weeks.”
