Updated COVID-19 Vaccine Site List In Cape May County

CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey has been expanding the number of publicly listed COVID-19 vaccination sites, and the state continues to announce new locations.

The state's list includes some locations that accept appointments directly; others are operating through the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System. (See the Cape May County list of vaccine sites below)

Cape May County's vaccination site in Avalon continues to serve all county residents. County officials have encouraged residents to register for the vaccine through the state's website.

CVS and Rite Aid began scheduling COVID-19 appointments at locations that will receive vaccines, but appointments fill up quickly.

Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said the state plans to increase the number of vaccination sites beyond 300. State officials have said the goal is to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population by the spring.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced that New Jersey has created a county-by-county vaccine hub that reports the number of immunizations across the state. (see our guide to the vaccination system below).

Persichilli also said New Jersey currently doesn't have much vaccine availability, but she expects that to change soon. The Biden administration has said that it plans to greatly expand the number of vaccine doses available to the American public.

Eligibility

• Must live, work or study in New Jersey
• People age 65+
• Teachers K-12, Daycare and preschool workers, and staff
• People age 16+ with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from COVID-19
• First responders including law enforcement and fire professionals
• Heath care workers, residents and staff of long-term and congregate care

As of Friday, Cape May County logged a total of 41,810 vaccinations, with 27,550 of those being first doses.
