Updated COVID-19 Vaccine Site List In Cape May County
Here are the sites where the COVID-19 vaccines are being administered and links to monitor for appointment openings.
CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey has been steadily expanding the number of publicly listed COVID-19 vaccination sites, and the state continues to announce new locations.
The state's list includes some locations that accept appointments directly; others are operating through the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (see the Cape May County list of vaccine sites below).
Cape May County's vaccination site in Avalon continues to serve all county residents. County officials have encouraged residents to register for the vaccine through the state's website.

CVS and Rite Aid began scheduling COVID-19 appointments at locations that will receive vaccines, but appointments fill up quickly.
Ocean City's Community Services Team is helping seniors and residents without computer access register with the the state's vaccine scheduling system. They also attempt to help residents enroll in the appointment selection process for the mega-site in Atlantic City.

Residents in need of this service can call 609-399-6111 or visit the Ocean City Community Center, City Hall Welcome Center or 46th Street Welcome Center.
Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said the state plans to increase the number of vaccination sites beyond 300. State officials have said the goal is to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population by the spring.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced that New Jersey has created a county-by-county vaccine hub that reports the number of immunizations across the state (see our guide to the vaccination system below).
As of Saturday, Cape May County logged a total of 55,710 vaccinations, with 21,860 people fully vaccinated.
The state expanded COVID-19 vaccination eligibility again on Friday, this time including all state residents ages 55 and older, retail workers and many others.
Who's Eligible Now?
- Paid and unpaid healthcare workers
- Residents and workers of long-term care and high-risk congregate care facilities
- First responders including sworn law enforcement and fire professionals
- Individuals aged over 65
- Individuals aged 16-64 that have certain medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus
- Pre-K to 12 educators and staff
- Childcare workers in licensed and registered settings
- Transportation workers
- Additional public safety workers
- Additional high-risk individuals
Starting March 29, additional frontline essential workers will be eligible to book vaccine appointments.
- Food production, agriculture and food distribution (including grocery store and restaurant workers)
- Eldercare and support
- Warehousing and logistics
- Social services support staff
- Elections personnel
- Hospitality
- Medical supply chain
- Postal and shipping services
- Clergy
- Judicial system
