Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said the state plans to increase the number of vaccination sites beyond 300. State officials have said the goal is to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population by the spring.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced that New Jersey has created a county-by-county vaccine hub that reports the number of immunizations across the state (see our guide to the vaccination system below).

The state added another tool in the box to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic with a beta version of an Appointment Finder, which is live and ready to use, according to Murphy. Read more: New Jersey Launches COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Finder

"This new tool aggregates information across multiple scheduling platforms, multiple times an hour letting you know when appointments are open and letting you know how you can make one for yourself," Murphy said at his COVID-19 briefing on Wednesday. "Appointments are still limited, especially so mid to late week."

As of Thursday, Cape May County logged a total of 61,292 vaccinations, with 25,166 people fully vaccinated.
