Wellness classes for seniors welcoming new members for spring

Cape Assist's free virtual programs provide resources to encourage healthy lifestyle 

Cape Assist’s next installments of its W.I.S.E. Program, a wellness initiative focusing on the health and well-being of individuals 51 and up, will begin on April 27, 2021. The group introduces like-minded individuals who offer support and encouragement as needed.

The meetings will be held on Zoom every Tuesday at 1 p.m. through June 8. During the seven virtual sessions, individuals will gain valuable insight and access to resources on creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking charge of their own healthcare. Participants will also receive guidance on making better choices to improve their health, including safe practices regarding alcohol, prescription and over-the counter medications.

Space is limited, and registration is required. To register, visit www.capeassist.org/wise. Everyone who completes the program will receive a $100 gift card.

There is no cost to participate in the program as it is funded by the State of New Jersey Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
