Area Man Sexually Assaulted Child, Police Charge
Incidents spanned several years, according to police

An area man faces sexual assault charges after authorities alleged he had years of inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old under his care.
Henry M. Chuya, 20, of Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with committing acts of sexual assault and contact “several” times between 2010 and October 2013, according to a criminal complaint filed by Middletown police last week.

The incidents allegedly occurred at Chuya's Knollwood Drive residence, according to authorities.
Chuya had assumed responsibility for the child at the time of the incidents, though the relationship of the two was not made clear by authorities.

He is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $100,000 bail, no 10 percent option, according to inmate records.
