RED BANK, NJ ? An increase in reported car burglaries in Red Bank has prompted warnings and safety tips from borough officials.

The burglaries have been reported on the east side of town near the Fair Haven border, officials said.

The borough is urging residents to take the following precautions:

  • Lock your car doors, especially overnight
  • Report any suspicious activity to the Red Bank Police Department
