Basie Center Unveils Outdoor Concert Series In Red Bank

The brand-new outdoor lineup features musicians and comedians to entertain locals on Monmouth Street.

RED BANK, NJ - While the Count Basie Center of the Arts on Monmouth Street remains shuttered under continuing coronavirus pandemic restrictions, its outpost venue The Vogel and concert series at Suneagles Golf Club in Eatontown keep entertaining scores in Monmouth County. As restrictions begin to loosen and case numbers drop, the organization is prepared to unveil yet another show lineup.

Next month will see the debut lineup of ‘Concerts On The Plaza’, a new summer series of outdoor shows at the Center’s new William James and Catherine Basie Plaza at 99 Monmouth Street. It’s expected to give more patrons their first opportunity to see the renovated Basie Center, according to a press release.

“Since the onset of the pandemic, we’ve done everything we can to make sure that safe, live performances were available to the Basie Center community,” said Adam Philipson, President and CEO of the Count Basie Center for the Arts. “’Concerts On The Plaza’ represents yet another pivot for us to safely showcase the performing arts while we wait for the day we’re finally allowed to open our historic theatre with a capacity that allows us to operate properly.”
