For Budding Art Collectors

80 yr. old artist says, "Everyone should have art!"

Howard Schoor today announced the addition of 79 new paintings to his vast body of Trianglist artwork. The “Little Gems” series offers small format original paintings, ranging in sizes 5” x 5” to 16” x 12”, as an adjunct to Schoor’s larger pieces. Priced $150 to $250, the Little Gems were created with new and budding art collectors in mind.

“I wanted to make my ‘happy art,’ and art in general, more accessible to more people,” Schoor explained. “I’m hoping to help folks—millennials especially—who have never owned a piece of art, build their personal collections. Starting their collecting journey with a piece of original art is far more satisfying than buying a painting sourced from a big box mall or gallery store.”

An artist and creator for more than three decades, 80-year-old Schoor began seriously marketing his art just over two years ago. Since then, he has built a substantial brand and is steadily carving out a niche for his art and his inspiring story. “I feel good when I’m creating,” he said. “I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by my art and I look at it every day. In sharing it through this new series, I’m hoping to bring that same happiness to others.”

ABOUT HOWARD SCHOOR
At 80, Howard Schoor has had too many life acts to assign a number to this one. Schoor is a self-taught originator, existing apart from the art world establishment. His Trianglist works are unsullied. His medium is acrylic paint, spackling paste and markers on canvas.

Howard Schoor is a classically trained and licensed professional engineer. He built and led one of the nation’s largest regional engineering firms from 1967 to 1992. He worked with the triangle daily. Today, the triangle remains the focus of his art conscious. His Trianglist works evidence his love of architecture, forms, angles and shapes, and his belief that “less can be more.”

“Pleasure is my barometer. If the art pleases you, it is valuable.”
An artist and creator for more than three decades, Schoor began seriously marketing his art just two years ago. Since then, he has built a substantial brand and is steadily carving out a niche for his art and his inspiring story. After a successful showing at Artexpo New York, in 2018, Howard debuted his work to a private group of 150 of Asbury Park, New Jersey’s artists, branded collectors and invited guests. They came to The Asbury Hotel in support of Howard’s happy art movement.
