Cheesy Holiday Cheese Cave Offerings
Innovations and new items from store on Monmouth Street, Red Bank.

Just when you thought the holidays couldn't get any cheesier, The Cheese Cave started offering some cheeses with a twist for which many have been giving thanks.
The Monmouth Street store in Red Bank now has cheese pops. Yes, cheese pops. They offer layered cheese, crackers and the appropriate fruity accompaniment in one push pop, according to the store's Facebook page.
"We take cheese and crackers to a new level with our custom-created cheese push pops," a post on the page says.
The one they picture is a combination of honey ricotta, strawberry rhubarb preserves and pecan nut cake crumble, owner Stephen Catania says.
And, as if that isn't cheesy enough, the store is also now carrying a new blend in the spirit of the holidays — crumbled goat cheese with cranberry and tarragon from Vermont Creamery.
It's made of "100 percent all-natural goat cheese made with an award-winning Chevre recipe and blended with high-quality herbs and dried fruit. There are no mold inhibitors or anti-caking agents like cellulose so there isn’t a 'dry mouth feel' like that of other crumbles," another Facebook post says.
