Debate: Monmouth County Clerk & Freeholders Candidates

Thursday October 14th 7:30 Zoom

Few people know what the Board of Chosen Freeholders does or the role they play in our community. They are responsible for our county budget; spending your tax dollars! They authorize expenditures and bonds relating to the budget. They oversee Brookdale Community College, planning and costs for infrastructure, roads and bridges and determine services such as county parks and the county reclamation center. Their role is to utilize our tax dollars wisely while supervising the county government, county level boards, and commissions that provide services to our communities. As citizens we charge them with providing the best services to all residents of Monmouth County while keeping our taxes from going up.

The Monmouth County Clerk is responsible for keeping and recording county records, documents, county ID cards, county licenses, passports, notary, weddings, and elections.

There's a debate tomorrow night at 7:30 for Monmouth County Clerk and Freeholders candidates. Due to Covid-19 , the debate will be done through Zoom, making it accessible and safe for the candidates as well as viewers.
