Funding Sought for Job Bootcamp

Erin Medlicot is asking for help in getting back into the workforce with training.

Red Bank resident Erin Medlicot needs to get a job.

And she needs some training to change career paths and become gainfully employed in tough economic times.

The trouble is that training can be expensive. So, she has taken to www.gofundme.com to secure $2,500 to get her into a New York City Retraining Bootcamp, according to her campaign on the site.

"On June 21 - 23 there is a NYC Job Retraining Bootcamp," Medlicot says on gofundme.com. "This three day workshop costs $2,500. I'd love to be able to attend to increase my chances for successful employment, but right now money is tight. It will be a fantastic opportunity to get certified in new skills, market the ones I already have and network with employers. If you've got a few dollars to spare, I'd like to ask for your support and help FUND ME. I need contributions in by May 30th, as that is the sign up deadline."

So far, Medlicot has raised $100 in six months. Check her profile and see if you think her quest is worthy of funding.
