Longtime Shrewsbury Resident, Julia Field, Dies at 92

Services begin on Friday.


Longtime Shrewsbury Township resident Julia Field died at Riverview Medical Center on Jan 7. She was 92.

Born in Newark to John and Valerie (Pudlick) Florkoski, Julia worked for many years in the bakery department of Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck. She was a hard worker and loved providing for her family. Julia also had a passion for knitting. She was a longtime communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Red Bank.

She is predeceased by: her parents; sisters, Caroline Dorick and Wanda Kozak; brother, Michael Kozak; her beloved son, Vernon Eugene Field; and her great-granddaughter, Kirsten Perrine.

She is survived by: her loving son, Dennis and wife Diane, of Tinton Falls; daughter-in-law, Terri Field, of Marlton, grandchildren, Keith Field, Kimberley Perrine and husband William, Christopher Field and wife Donna, Karen Paolone and husband Christopher, and DJ, Dean and Jennifer Field; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Luke Field, CJ, Dylan and Eric Paolone and Jake and Delanie Perrine.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at St. James R.C. Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
