Martina McBride performs Dec. 21 at the Count Basie Theater and she encouraging people to bring diapers to donate: all day or at the show.

RED BANK, NJ - Country music star Martina McBride and her charity Team Music Is Love are asking area music fans to bring packages of diapers to her Dec.21 Christmas concert at the Count Basie Theater.
McBride will see the diapers —a basic need of every baby and toddler—are delivered to Moms Helping Moms Foundation, the local nonprofit that helps New Jersey families who struggle to afford enough diapers to keep their babies and toddlers clean, dry and healthy. Diaper donations are acutely needed during the holiday season and seeking donations during the holiday season is consistent for McBride whose concert is titled "The Joy of Christmas."
The National Diaper Bank Network and its founding sponsor Huggies will double the number of diapers collected at the concert, with a donation of up to 10,000 diapers to Moms Helping Moms Foundation, according to a release from McBride.

“While my three daughters are grown, I know the importance of clean diapers in keeping a baby happy and healthy,” said McBride in the release. “The fact that many mothers can’t afford the diapers they need for their baby is troubling. I’m honored that Team Music Is Love is working with the National Diaper Bank Network to help address diaper need. All babies deserve clean diapers.”
Through Team Music is Love, the charity she founded in 2011, McBride regularly engages with her fans to help improve the lives of children and families in hometowns throughout the U.S.
Since its founding in 2011, Moms Helping Moms Foundation has provided diapers, clothing, baby gear and other basic need items to children and families in need. More information on the organization is available at www.momshelpingmomsfoundation or on Facebook at Facebook.com/MHMFI.
