Red Bank Regional HS Goes Virtual Amid 2 COVID-19 Cases
In-person instruction was suspended on Nov. 2 at Red Bank Regional High School due to two reported COVID-19 cases, officials said.

RED BANK, NJ - Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver will be operating on a remote schedule Monday after an additional student tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
In an Oct. 30 message via the district website, Superintendent Louis Moore alerted families that an additional student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Another case was identified the day prior, according to Red Bank Green.
“We have implemented our response protocol and are working with the Regional Health Commission to assist with contact tracing,” Moore wrote on Friday evening. “At this time there is no evidence of community transmission of the virus within the school.”

Athletic practices and games will continue as scheduled. However, as “some of the identified close contacts are staff members”, the district will see its 1,200 students in grades 9-12 following on a remote schedule beginning Nov. 2.
As of Monday morning, it was not immediately clear how long the district would pursue the all-virtual schedule. It was also unclear whether the two cases are linked.

- Covering coughs and sneezes and properly disposing of tissues
- Limiting close contact with people who are sick and not sharing food, drinks and utensils
