RED BANK, NJ - The borough's newest music venue, a two-story theater dubbed The Vogel, announced its first string of live performances on Monday, set to begin later this month. Located at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in a 20,000-square-foot balconied space, The Vogel will be offering seated 150-capacity performances to eager music fans of numerous genres.

Singer-songwriter Grace Potter will take to the state on the venue’s opening night (Oct. 22) as well as Oct. 23. Folk-bluegrass musician Chris Thile is also set to perform on Oct. 24, as well as Genre-spanning cover band Brian Kirk & The Jirks on Oct. 29 and Dead On Live (celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s American Beauty) on Nov. 1. Comedian Vic DiBitetto is expected to make two appearances on Nov. 12 and Nov 14.

The performance space will adhere to strict safety and social distancing measures, including a mask policy (with exception to eating or drinking), social distancing requirements and, for nights with two shows, a sanitizing and cleaning process between events, according to a news release. Initial shows will be seated, with tables sold in two, four and six configurations only. Tables will be positioned six feet apart with front-row tables spaced 12 feet from performers.
