South Brunswick Leaf Collection Rules And Schedule

South Brunswick residents, here are the rules and schedules for leaf collection this fall in the township:

• Leaf crews will be in each of four collection areas three times this season.
• The collection schedule is subject to change, but every effort will be made to maintain the schedule.
• Leaves must be raked by 7:30 a.m. on the first date in the collection round for pick-up during that round.
• Leaves may not be placed outside more than seven days before the scheduled pick-up.
• Leaves cannot be placed within 10 feet of a catch basin.
• Leaves should be raked to the curb, not into the street.
• They should be placed no further than 10 feet from the edge of the road.
• Bags, rocks, litter and brush are not collected with leaves.
• There is no collection from commercial properties.
• Bagged leaves may be delivered to the drop-off convenience area - not the Recycling Center -- behind Sondek Park on New Road. But bags must be emptied and removed. The area is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• PICK UP DATES: Round 1: 10/19*, 10/20, 10/21 Round 2: 11/5*, 11/6, 11/9, 11/10 Round 3: 12/7*, 12/8, 12/9

AREA 2

• (Between Route 27 and Route 1 & Between New Road and Beekman Road)
• PICK UP DATES: Round 1: 10/22*, 10/23, 10/26 Round 2: 11/12*, 11/13, 11/16, 11/17 Round 3: 12/10*, 12/11, 12/14

AREA 3

• (Between Route 27 and Route 1 & between Beekman Road & Finnegans Lane)
• PICK UP DATES: Round 1: 10/27*, 10/28, 10/29 Round 2: 11/19*, 11/20, 11/23, 11/24 Round 3: 12/15*, 12/16, 12/17

AREA 4

• (East of Route 1)
• PICK UP DATES: Round 1: 10/30*, 11/2, 11/4 Round 2: 11/30*, 12/1, 12/2, 12/3 Round 3: 12/18*, 12/21, 12/22
