South Brunswick police say they are investigating the death of a 22-year-old Pennsylvania man, whose body was found at a Route 1 hotel.

South Brunswick police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old Pennsylvania man, whose body was found at a Route 1 hotel, authorities said.
Township police and the Middlesex County Medical Examiner, are trying to determine if narcotics played a role in his death, according to a news release from South Brunswick Capt. James Ryan.

At 1:12 p.m. Thursday, police were called to Extended Stay America on Route 1 to check on the welfare of an occupant.
Police found Austin Eyer, 22, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania unresponsive in a room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Eyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

His cause of death is pending the results of toxicology tests.
