South Brunswick School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in South Brunswick is September 7. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The South Brunswick School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/21-22: Schools Closed/Rosh Hashanah

October

• 10/10: Early Release/Staff PD

November

• 11/6-8: Early Release/Parent/Teacher Conf.
• 11/9-10: Schools Closed/ NJEA
• 11/13: Early Release/Parent/Teacher Conf.
• 11/22: Early Release/Thanksgiving Eve
• 11/23-24: Schools Closed/Thanksgiving

December

• 12/6: Early Release/Staff PD
• 12/22: Early Release/Winter Recess
• 12/25: Schools Closed/Christmas
• 12/26-29: Schools Closed/Winter Recess

January

• 1/1: Schools Closed/Winter Recess
• 1/15: Schools Closed/Martin Luther King, Jr. B’day
• 1/25: Early Release/Staff PD

February

• 2/16: Staff Only/Professional Development
• 2/19: Schools Closed/Presidents’ Day

March

• 3/20-23: Early Release/Parent/Teacher Conf.
• 3/26-30: Schools Closed/Spring Break

    emergency closings, school will be in session on the following days in the order listed:
