Thunderstorm Cuts Out Power In Part Of South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The severe weather that just came through the area has taken down several utility poles on Henderson Road near St. Augustine of Canterbury church, South Brunswick police announced.

According to police, power is out in the area of Henderson Road and it is affecting traffic lights on Rt. 1 and Rt. 27. Also, Henderson Road between Rt. 1 and Rt. 27 is currently closed.

Davidson Mill Road is also closed between Riva Avenue and Fresh Ponds Road until further notice due to trees and wires down, said police.

Please avoid both roads Thursday afternoon, said police.
