2015: The Year That N.J. Was Afraid To Go Back Into The Water

Remember “Jaws?”

Not so many under 40 probably do. But on the classic movie’s 40th anniversary, it was perhaps appropriate for 2015 to be the year in which - as the old movie’s saying goes - a number of people were a little scared to go back into the water.

Whether it was a whale or a Great White shark, 2015 was the year that all sorts of strange animals appeared on Jersey Shore beaches.

While many laughed off the public’s reaction, others said they had a legitimate beef.

To paraphrase another classic movie, not-so-many people were so ready to go swimming with the fishes.
